THE ENTERTAINMENT SCENE BECOMES MORE EXCITING FOR ISIC KENYA MEMBERS.

In June, ISIC Kenya members gained additional discount benefits with the entry of Anga Cinemas as an entertainment partner. From the look of things, the entertainment scene is becoming more exciting for members in Kenya.

With technology becoming the hub of every activity in our lives, one facility in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs is capturing the hearts of families in Nairobi. The Village Market Mall owned and managed by Hameco Limited has a modern, state-of-the-art recreational facility that encompasses six different recreational points spread across 3 floors of the shopping mall.

ISIC Kenya signed a benefit partnership agreement with Hameco Limited, where all ISIC Members will enjoy a 15% discount whenever utilizing the exciting Village Market recreational facilities. The variety offered at Village Market is ideally, equals to none.

The Village Market is host to “Ozone Trampoline Park”, which tops the experience particularly for adrenaline high kind of people. Ozone is a 15,000 sq.ft trampoline park that is great for kids, teens and adults alike. The decor is urban graffiti. There are live in-house DJs, a private party area and a snack bar. The special matatu lounge is reflective of Nairobi’s fast-paced lifestyle. There are 10 park activities at Ozone waiting to be explored including Open Course, Professional Climbing Wall, Dodgeball Court, the Ninja Course, Slam Dunk, Parkour Wall, Small Climbing Wall, the Baby Trampoline, Olympic Trampoline and the Foam Pit. Ozone Trampoline Park is perfect for Fitness challenges, Team-building events, Birthday parties, Charity events as well as photo and video shoots.

We then have “Under the Sea” which is a safe space for toddlers and pre-schoolers for their play dates, themed parties and school trips. It’s a fun, engaging and exciting place to grow your child’s fine and gross motor development activities. Under The Sea is the perfect way to develop their colourful imagination and their social and coordination skills. Under The sea includes Marine Mountain which is the main play area, interactive games, Kids Craft Workshop and Love the Ocean program which is an environmental education program.

Once you’re done exploring Under the Sea, one is then ushered into the Village Bowl. The Village Bowl is a modern, 11-lane Brunswick bowling facility great for leisure, sport, parties and entertainment. Village Bowl features a family-friendly atmosphere with special effects lighting, artistic themes and live music. Friends can hang out at the Cadillac-themed lounge and have some drinks and snacks, or simply enjoy a game of pool and foosball.

Upon completion of the physically engaging activities, one is then given the chance to experience the Virtual Reality which is brought out by popular Village Market “VR Gaming”. This is the virtual reality arcade designed to take you to a different universe ideal for fantasists and gamers looking to escape reality. VR Gaming is fitted with Xtrematic VR and KAT VR equipment of the highest quality. A variety of games are available including Skydiving, Bungee Jumping, Skiing, Motorcycle Racing, White Water Rafting and the Pump-It Up Dance Machine. Special surround sound effects add on to the feel of the gaming area. It is safe for players above the age of 10 and It’s also a unique venue for themed birthday parties and a chill-out spot for friends.

This entire gaming experience is closed with a big bang, where one is allowed to dine and unwind at “The Ballpoint Restaurant”. This restaurant is ideal for young adult hangouts, where they dine and

compete in toned down board games such as jenga, table tennis and pool. The Ballpoint Restaurant is the perfect Friday evening hangout.

To celebrate this partnership, ISIC Kenya ran a joint activation at the Village Market where there were instant prizes to be won. Some of the prizes included, free sample lessons for coding offered by Smartbrains Kenya, 15% instant discount at Village Market, free tickets to the Naiccon’s annual Kids Convention (KIDSCON), and a free ISIC membership. The activation saw students from United States International University – Africa, Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta Univeristy of Technology, Technical University of Kenya, Pan African Christian University (PAC), International School of Kenya, University of Nairobi among others.
